What is Close?

Close is a sales engagement CRM built for high-velocity inside sales teams, with native calling, email, SMS, and Sequences. The LunoGen Close integration connects your AI agent to the Close API so it can read and write Leads, Contacts, Opportunities, Activities, and enroll people into Sequences — all from WhatsApp messages, inbound webhooks, or cron jobs.

Why connect Close?

Close reps live in the dialer. They don't want to alt-tab to a CRM to update a deal, drop a contact into a Sequence, or log a quick call note. Setup

Requirements

  • A Close account (Startup, Professional, Enterprise, or Custom)
  • Admin access to generate an API key
  • A LunoGen account with at least the Pro plan

    Create a Close API key

    In Close, go to Settings → Developer → API Keys → Create New API Key. Name it 'LunoGen Agent' and copy the key.

    Connect it in LunoGen

    In LunoGen → Credentials → New → Close. Paste the API key and test the connection.

    Configure webhooks (optional)

    In Close → Settings → Developer → Webhooks → Add Webhook. Point it to your LunoGen webhook URL and subscribe to events like opportunity.created, activity.call.completed.

    Map Sequences to chat commands

    In LunoGen, map your Close Sequence IDs to friendly names (e.g. 'outbound-v3' = Sequence ID seq_abc123) so you can enroll from chat with natural language.
