Wise on WhatsApp — incoming transfers, FX alerts, multi-currency balances, and batch payments

Payments & Billing

What is Wise?

Wise (formerly TransferWise) is a global payments platform for multi-currency holdings, international transfers, and batch payouts — used by hundreds of thousands of businesses for cross-border cash flow. The LunoGen Wise integration uses the Wise Business API and webhooks so your AI agent can watch every transfer, alert on favorable FX rates, and execute batch payments directly from WhatsApp.

Why connect Wise?

If you pay contractors in 7 countries, collect in 4 currencies, and watch EUR/USD every morning, Wise is already running your finances. The problem is that all of that lives in the Wise app and you're constantly switching contexts. LunoGen puts it in WhatsApp: incoming money pings you instantly, balances show up on request, FX alerts wake you when the rate hits your target, and batch payroll goes out with a single message.

What you can do

  • Real-time incoming transfer alerts via Wise webhooks
  • Multi-currency balance reports across all jar holdings
  • FX rate alerts for target thresholds
  • Batch payment processing from a spreadsheet
  • Scheduled recurring international transfers
  • Recipient management (add, lookup, update)
  • Transfer status tracking (incoming, processing, delivered)
  • Currency conversion execution
  • Monthly income and spend reports by currency
  • Fees breakdown (Wise takes a tiny cut, and you see exactly how much)
  • Support for SWIFT, SEPA, ACH, and local rails

Setup

Requirements

  • A Wise Business account (personal accounts do not support the API)
  • Permissions to generate an API token in Wise settings
  • A LunoGen account with the Pro plan or higher
  1. 1

    Generate a Wise API token

In your Wise Business account go to Settings → API tokens → Add new token. Name it 'LunoGen Agent' and grant the full API scope for read + transfer creation. Copy the token.

  2. 2

Upload your Wise public key (for SCA)

For transfer-creation use cases, Wise requires Strong Customer Authentication using a key pair. LunoGen generates the key pair for you — download the public key and upload it in Wise Settings → Public keys.

  3. 3

    Connect in LunoGen

In the LunoGen dashboard open Credentials → New → Wise and paste the API token. LunoGen verifies by calling /v1/profiles.

  4. 4

    Register a webhook subscription

LunoGen can programmatically create a Wise webhook subscription for transfers#state-change and balances#credit. Click 'Install webhooks' on the integration page to set it up.
